For the Musical Theatre Short Course 2024 (Term 1)
APO Arts Academy’s Musical Theatre Short Course extends a warm welcome to individuals who are interested in exploring their creativity and expression through the performing arts.
The practical-based course is aimed at developing the fundamental techniques of the three core performance genres: singing, acting, and dance. Students are guided and supported by experienced teachers who emphasise the importance of disciplined training and best practices.
Additionally, the musical theatre short courses provide a taste of the comprehensive full-time training available at APO Arts Academy for those students who may be interested in pursuing further training.
COURSE DATES:

TRAINING DAYS:
Tuesdays
CLASSES:
5.30 pm – 6.15 pm – covering Vocal Ensemble, Acting and Song & Dance
From time to time, teachers may change without prior notice.
FEE:
Trial session: $65 for 1 evening session
Term fee: $ 480 for 8 weeks (less any trial classes prepaid)

SOLO VOCAL LESSONS:

EXTRA DANCE LESSONS:
Fee is $180 per style per term

ENTRY
Entry is by private audition either in person or by video submission for outer Melbourne applicants.

ENROLMENT PROCESS
Step 1
Complete and submit the AUDITION FORM
Step 2
We will contact you to arrange a mutually convenient time to attend a private audition. You will be required to present:
– 1 song, any style. Duration max 1.5 mins
– 1 contemporary monologue. Duration: max 45 seconds
– No prior dance experience required. We will teach basic exercises so we can assess your current skill base and potential in movement. Interviews will be conducted on the same day of the audition

Results will be issued within 7 days of applying

Complete and return the Enrolment Form to secure your position in the course.
