The CUA50213 Diploma in Musical Theatre is an extensive
1 yr & 6 mths training programme for advanced level singers who have the potential to achieve high standards in musical theatre. The focus of this course is to build on the student’s current skills whilst nurturing their progress and development from competent performer to artist in the three core disciplines of Singing, Acting and Dance.
APO is pleased to partner with Perform Australia (RTO#40859) to deliver the CUA50213 Diploma in Musical Theatre. Perform Australia is a registered training organisation based in ACT. Students wishing to study this accredited course will enrol with Perform Australia and work with APO to achieve their qualification in Melbourne.

This nationally recognised qualification is accredited under the Australian vocational education system.

COURSE OVERVIEW

The CUA50213 Diploma of Musical Theatre course places a strong emphasis on the refinement of solo performance skills. A variety of performance opportunities throughout the course of study provide students with the necessary experience to develop individual professionalism within the Entertainment Industry. Upon completion of the course, the students will have:

  1. Studied, rehearsed and performed a variety of Theatre and Musical repertoire;
  2. Developed and refined skills in the three core disciplines, as well as Music Theory, Keyboard and other allied studies.
  3. Acquired the skills necessary to either further their artistic studies at a higher level or successfully audition for professional theatre.
